OILERS AGREE TO TERMS WITH EAGER

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with left-winger Ben Eager on a three-year contract.

Eager, 27, split last season with the Atlanta Thrashers and San Jose Sharks appearing in 68 games collecting 17 points (7G, 10A) and 120 penalty minutes.

The 6’2”, 235-pound Ottawa, ON native has 69 points (34G, 35A) and 741 penalty minutes in 323 career NHL games with the Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, Thrashers and Sharks.

Eager, who was a member of the 2010 Stanley Cup Champions Chicago Blackhawks, played junior with the Ontario Hockey League’s Oshawa Generals and in 253 games he has 59 goals and 80 assists and 795 penalty minutes.
