Boston will be the fifth club Satan has suited up for, having played for the Oilers, Sabres, Islanders and Penguins. He was originally drafted by the Oilers in the fifth round (111th overall) of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.

The native of Topolcany, Slovakia will play alongside Bruins captain Zdeno Chara for Team Slovakia at the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
