years, and we thank them for their tremendous support,” said Anaheim Ducks
Executive VP/COO and Anaheim Arena Management President/CEO Tim Ryan. “As we’ve
stated for the last two seasons, one of our primary objectives is to continue
expanding the growth of hockey in Southern California. With that in mind, we
have decided to cap season seat sales in order to be able to continue to give
fans the opportunity to watch our sport in person.”
The defending Stanley Cup champions enter the season having sold out 34 games
consecutively, including the last 22 regular season contests. The team sold out
25 regular season games last year, the most since the 1997-98 campaign. The

highest since the 1997-98 season.
At the time of Henry and Susan Samueli’s purchase of the Ducks in June of 2005,
the club had 7,000 season tickets sold. The Ducks began the 2005-06 campaign
with 9,500 season seats, a figure that grew to over 11,000 at the start of the

suites began in the summer of 2006. Club seat sales at the arena have also

CARLYLE
TO ONE-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION

2008-09 season.

seasons.”
