Johan Franzen struck on the power play with 0:47 left to sink Columbus' comeback hopes. The Jackets rebounded from a 3-1 deficit to enter the game's final minutes in a 5-5 tie, but to no avail as the game four comeback turned out to be too little, too late. -- JB

Detroit scored three second period goals in just over four minutes to crush the Jackets at Joe Louis Arena. Johan Franzen had a goal and an assist, and Chris Osgood came through with some big first period saves to pace the Wings. --JB
